The Grand 300 Bike Tour
The Canadian Border to Minneapolis // 4 Days // 330 Miles // 9130' Elevation // One purpose...
A journey that transforms lives and builds community. Our mission is clear: to provide reliable transportation for inner-city families, enabling access to life-changing programs at the Life Center.
Schedule
- Day 0: Travel from the Life Center to Lutsen
- Meet 10am on August 5th at the Life Center Church (1812 Park Ave S).
- Day 1: The Warm Up: Grand Portage to Lutsen (~61.3 miles)
- Don't mind the hill at the start! Enjoy the scenery of Northern Minnesota as we ride along Highway 61. Most of this day is on the highway, with brief sections of trail.
- At the end of day 1, those who are interested all go swimming in Temperance River/Lake Superior in Tofte!
- Day 2: The Big Day: Lutsen to Duluth (~94.5 miles)
- Day two has the most elevation gain of any single ride and is a combination of highway and trail riding. Great opportunity to experience Palasade Head!
- Day 3: Many Miles: Duluth to Mora (~99.5 miles)
- Today we ride the Munger trail, and end the last 20 miles on highway to Mora. The ride is fairly flat, with lots of time to chat with a riding buddy!
- Day 4: The Home Stretch: Mora to Minneapolis (72.4 miles)
- Marvel at how easy 70 miles feels after two days of 90+ mile rides! Most of this day is ridden as a group, and there is nothing quite like being enthusiastically welcomed back to the church by the Life Center family at the end of the ride!
Why We Ride:
- Bridging the Gap: Our transportation ministry shuttles thousands each year, connecting individuals to vital services such as tutoring, support groups, life skills training, and discipleship.
- Community Impact: Beyond educational and mentoring programs, we deliver groceries, food packs, and coats to over 500 people weekly—reaching those in encampments, shelters, and homes facing poverty.
- Spreading Love in Action: Every mile pedaled represents a step towards hope and compassion. Your generous donation helps sustain these essential rides and support services, making a tangible difference in countless lives.
Just $24 represents a ride for one person for an entire month, that's about $2 per ride. Since 2015 we’ve cycled 55,194 miles, raised over $250,000, purchased 8 vehicles a food outreach trailer and provided over 125,000 rides to and from the Life Center.
Help us ride to bring the practical love and care of Jesus to every corner of our community. Thank you for joining us in this transformative journey!
